Meredith Nemirov
Brooklyn, New York native Meredith Nemirov studied at the Art Student’s League and received her BFA from Parson’s The New School of Design. In 1988 Nemirov moved to Ridgway, Colorado where she is currently based. Nemirov’s practice is realized through hundreds of direct on-site drawings and sketches of Aspen forests within the region and timberlands beyond. By way of intensive study, tree by tree, Nemirov develops an idiosyncratic abstraction creatively echoing her hyper observant perspective and style by way of gouache, watercolor and ink on paper.
